Welcome to Rumbling Bridge Community Hydro Society. Our community energy project is the largest community owned hydro project in the UK.
Located near the small village of Rumbling Bridge, Kinross Scotland, the hydro turbines began generating clean, green electricity in September 2016.
The society has 664 members who have all invested upwards of £250, including local people and supporters of the wider renewable energy community.
The Society is delighted to have been been Highly Commended in the Rushlight Awards 2017. The Awards were established in 2006 and are designed to promote the development and deployment of clean technologies, innovation and sustainable solutions.
